[note that MacOS does HiDPI by using a fake "lower" resolution, and smoothing it back up to the native resolution, so this isn't "wasting" the UHD, it's setting how much the UI is scaled.

This DOES NOT SUPPORT HDMI 2.0 - even if the description says "Enjoy upgraded HDMI support with HDMI (v2.0) that supports UHD resolution as a 60Hz refresh rate" this is not true - it only supports 60 Hz on the Display Port - so it won't work with Xbox One S or PS4

I'm just getting into 4K movies and ultra high quality photography (don't expect me to impress you with knowledge I have yet to obtain) and of course need the best resolution I can afford.

Some DVI cards do support 4K resolution and an adapter might work, but consider upgrading to a better video card for 4K use!
