Boils a pot of water quickly, large enough to use a large frying pan and the safety indicator won’t even allow it to turn ON if you aren’t using the proper pan

If a magnet does NOT stick to your pan, then that pan will not work with an induction cooktop

However, you need to carefully choose the right pan or pot because of this is induction cooker.

There are also warning messages if the pan you want to use is not compatible and that the surface may still be hot after cooking

I toss the cast iron in the oven with whatever I'm making for sides, then move the hot pan on to the induction burner to keep it hot

Only small problems was the pans and pots that can be used on this, it says only iron pans can be used
