Alarm/RadioYou can wake up to the radio and the volume of the alarm radio and the regular radio are independent which is a nice feature, so if I turn up the radio while I'm listening to it during the day, it does not affect the volume that the alarm uses (this is a brilliant feature and I didn't even know how important this was to me).

Mostly, there is too much bass emphasis, even though bass-treble control is a good feature (found on the bottom of the unit).-- I found that setting the radio up for receiving the 'radio-controlled' sync for timing was easy.

Ever since the 90s I have owned an alarm clock with one vitally important feature: two or more alarms

One feature missing here that I would like to see is a variable snooze length

A cool feature I discovered is that, while the radio is off, if you hold one of the radio preset buttons on top it will show you what the date is going to be for that coming day of the week, so it's kinda like a mini calendar

This is a feature-rich clock with controls that are very different from those of generic clock radios, and there's no way to set it up and get the most out of it without going through the documentation carefully

The auto signal works great for me, but even if it didn't you can disable the feature and set the time manually, just like any other alarm clock

The BEST feature Sangean had going for them was *daily* alarm set schedules for people like me who's schedule jumps around
