Radio / alarm stopped working... basically no sound in three months

I bought this clock in September of 2011, and now the backlight dimmer no longer works.

Unfortunately the dimmer stopped working (there are two separate controls, plus an ambient light sensor) after 2.5 years, so the clock stayed on full brightness---far too bright for a bedroom.

Receiver works very well, much better than the radio it replaced

It has been working great since we programed it

The clock has worked great over the past year and a half with one exception.

I have to get up at different times of the day/night because i work shift work so being able to set a specific time for each day of the week is fantastic

In the meantime, I tuned the radio to a LOUD rock music station and the Sangean works every time

Now the dimmer is working again

Now the problem - after a couple of years, the dimmer stopped working.

Most annoying is that the analog clock stopped working after about three months
