Sauder 413324 Beginnings 5 Shelf Bookcase, Highland Oak Finish

    • The small finishing nails split and crumbled the boards
    • The "boards" crumble on impact
    • Holes drilled on the wrong side of the wood, hole drilled at the incorrect distances from the end of the material, poor quality particle board, this in every way shape and form was a sub-par product and the one I received was incapable of being built to spec.
    • If the nail is not in the center of the shelves, you will split the boards on the bookshelf side
    • The top of the very top board and the bottom of the bottom board (on the floor), and back sides are unfinished
    • It looks nicer and the boards feel more sturdy
    • Also colored adhesive circles are supplied to cover the screws in the side and the cams on the inside that secure the middle board to the top and bottom sections
    • Suggestion is to give your self some space so that you can lay out the board correctly.
    • I wish the board that goes on the back was more sturdy
    • Made of the cheapest press board with a really cheap vinyl that they say looks like Oak.
    • The underside of the top board is finished
    • These Bookcases just look like they're made of cheap particle board and could fall over any minute even after following all those instructions and hammering in every last one of the dozens and dozens of nails!!5.
    • If there is even the slightest tilt, the weight of the top half will progressively push the screws further and further to the side of the flimsy frame boards and inevitably collapse
    • But not too much, because the cheap Particle Board will allow
    • I usually hate putting things together, but this was actually easy and worked as it should.
    • Product may seem a little darker a but is almost true to color
