but I think it's actually the grinder itself creating the static because when I replace the plastic tray with a metal cup I still have incredibly static-charged grinds that cling to everything and fly all over the place, same results with a glass cup,

I purchased anyway and did experience static cling the first few uses, now I have used it for about 2 weeks and do not notice any static cling

It grinds well, however the grind go EVERYWHERE when removing the canister, static cling to the inside, and when I cleaned it there was a TON of ground coffee in the blades

I still haven't solved the static cling, so tapping against the counter and then into the basket over a sink is suggested otherwise there is a very fine amount of grinds on your counter every morning

After use, it creates static which the grinds cling to on all of the plastic making it difficult to empty or clean
