I was buying this specifically for the espresso ground and this does very well for that

After receiving the unit I noticed, too late, that another reviewer also indicated the unit was incapable of achieving an espresso grind.

On the coarsest setting, it produces coffee "dust" that's much closer to espresso grind than even what I would use in a drip coffee maker

We mainly use the fine settings for a nice espresso grind for our coffee

and the water passed through espresso grind too easily

Espresso grind is about 3-4 click above the finest setting

This grinder I had to adjust my grind to above fine to just below medium for a perfect espresso grind

The unit works fine for drip coffee and for espresso grind but just not quite big enough for French press hence why I give the unit only 3 stars.

I have super jolly commercial grinder for espresso grind and this grinder will come close if you use the very fine grind for a typical espresso

18g of espresso needs 6 cups (actually a little more, like 6.5) from this grinder.

Maximum Coarse setting is not as coarse as I like for my french press coffee maker.

Other wise I like how it grinds coffee
