SCEPTRE 27 Inch IPS Ultra 4K LED Monitor U278W-4000R, UHD 3840x2160, HDMI 2.0 DVI DisplayPort Speakers, Metallic Black (2017)

    • I took a chance and purchased this monitor on 9/2/18 despite some other web reviews of dead pixels and lines in the monitor
    • I dinged it 2 stars as my original one was defective (red lines randomly appearing and the screen would go black)
    • I began testing the monitor and found that while watching videos, a blurry horizontal line would come across the screen around the area where there was movement in the video
    • Basically, my screen looks like it has scan lines (from the old days CRTs) and the 4k resolution is unusable (reading is very uncomfortable at that resolution when you miss half of the horizontal lines).I lost the box with the manual a few months ago during a move so now I'm stuck with a very dark and completely unsharp (because of the missing horizontal lines) 1080 image which is ridiculous

    • One started flickering horizontal lines within a few days
    • Today it started flickering horizontal lines all over the screen
    • Nonstop green lines flickering across the screen
    • The perfect budget 4K display.1 Star - Not quite two months later, after the return window closed, evenly spaced thin solid horizontal black lines now cover the display
    • Got a second one and after under 2 months of light use it started having flickering horizontal lines and lowered brightness thus making it unusable by me
    • I noticed some weird lines when running the Xbox
    • But the lines get annoying
    • Though I still have yet to get that perfect setting combo, I doubt I ever will
    • But if you can squeeze a little more out of your budget, I would go with e a more reputable competitor.
