    Scotch Outdoor Mounting Tape, 1-inch x 60-inches, Gray, 1-Roll (411P)

    • I have cleaned the surface with detergent or spirit alcohol until now it getting out after few days
    • This is the only tape I've purchased that is able to hold up heavy items on uneven surfaces
    • I cleaned the back of the mirror and the surface it attaches to with glass cleaner, and then I ran several pieces of tape around the edge of the mirror on the back side and trimmed off the over hang.
    • * --->One caveat here (and it applies to ALL surfaces and ALL items you wish to stick thereupon), is that ADEQUATE SURFACE PREPARATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS
    • Just make sure u clean the surface with rubbing alcohol before applying
    • Besure to clear the surfaces very well.
    • Didn't hold up a plastic led light despite cleaning surface.
    • I'm usually a huge fan of 3M products, but this stuff was a huge disappointment, especially after they claim it'll stick to brick, which is a very rough and porous surface
    • Very strong sticky surface
    • You'd probably have to scuff the surface to prep it in that case.
    • I recommend making sure to clean the surface and let it dry.
    • This tape is terrible, I put 3 strips on my 5 pound light to mount it close to my ceiling, no heat comes from the light and the surface was spotless
    • Extremely strong bond with 2 flat opposed surfaces, but I couldn't get this to hold more than about 7.5 pounds when trying to hang something on a wall.
    • I did find the key to secure mounting was a CLEAN surface
    • The vacuum is fairly light about 12 pounds with the wand attached, and the back of the bracket is not solid, not making it the best surface for this project.
    • This tape must be used on hard surfaces if it is to hold
    • It only works if you clinically clean both surfaces with solvent otherwise the adhesion is poor
    • Though it says its permanent (and it can be, if you intend it to be), it can be scraped off of very solid surfaces (i.e. metal or brick) somewhat easily and without much residue.
    • If you do your due diligence and clean the surfaces of whatever you use this tape on, it will stay put
    • It works ok if you clean the surfaces first but getting the backing paper off cut lengths is frustrating as there are no regular breaks and if the final stuck product gets hot the adhesive properties are seriously degraded
    • Also clean both mounting surfaces before use.
    • Make sure the surfaces are clean
    • Both surfaces were cleaned and dried prior to application.
    • It is strong enough to hold things in place, but not too strong that it damages the surfaces you apply it too
    • Make sure both mating surfaces are clean and and without any sort of grease
    • The slight padding makes for easy work on uneven surfaces.
    • takes too much tape to hold the item I want to hang (not enough surface area for the load rating of the tape)
    • sticks well, clean surface prior to installation
    • There's no heat to make it melt off and the surfaces on both sides are smooth
    • I've used this for several years and it's great for mounting all sorts of items, especially to uneven surfaces
    • Very strong sticky surface
    • One Inch strips and put it on the back of my WiFi Dongle(10 gms)stuck it to the desk, cleaning the surface first..., the damn thing fell down in 5 minutes
    • We cleaned the surface to remove the algae and dirt where we planned to mount a light on our metal shed.
    • Both of these were stuck on relatively slick surfaces; I stuck the LED strip to the smooth metal beams on the underside of a desk and the amplifier to a polished wooden surface(hidden of course).I have not tried removing anything I have stuck so i cannot comment on whether or not this will leave residue upon removal, I will edit this if I ever do remove something
    • It's effectiveness is greatly hindered on uneven surfaces though so you may run into problems if you're not using it on flat things.
    • If you want it stuck right there, and you want to be able to remove it later, and what you're sticking and where you're sticking it have smooth surfaces, this is what you need
    • Make sure to apply to a clean, flat surface and it will hold.
    • We ordered this tape to affix small accordion style paper window treatments to a clean painted drywall surface
    • these work great on a smooth surface
    • You cut them to the length you need, press firmly to the clean surface (some of my surfaces weren't all that clean and this worked great nonetheless), and then peel off the outer part to stick whatever it is you're mounting.
    • work!Dry the surface, CLEAN THE SURFACE
    • It stays flexible and can be "rolled off" what you applied it to with some effort and won't damage surface if it's durable (like I got it off a Roku, an apple TV, and a couple power strips I put it on.)
    • It will release from smooth, hard surfaces
    • This tape does not stick to painted surfaces very well at all
    • It holds things fast and securely (provided adequate surface preparation is performed - see below)
    • I'm not preparing the surfaces well enough.
    • Very good adhesion, and if you use a blow dryer to warm it up before you stick it (and clean surface areas with alcohol) it will stick even stronger than if you didn't do any of that
    • Very sticky, thin but cushioned, perfect for this application, where the two surfaces (the slightly imperfect badge and the cylindrical head tube) aren't exactly flush.
    • it does NOT hold hair dryer, which is NOT 10lbI used exactly as it required: smooth surface (side of my dresser)
    • has limitation of sticking to smooth surfaces
    • It will release from smooth, hard surfaces
    • Some of the best tape on the market...thank u
    • I used it to mount some decorative lettering to the wall as well as to mount small wall speakers in a spot where we couldn't put nails into the wall.
    • but it didn't stick as well as in the past when I have purchased it
    • Works as it should.
    • Works as you would think -- even for humid outdoor applications it seems to stick well.
    • As I stated above, upon a few days reflection, I've since come to realize that just because I HATE how a product messes with my inner peace; as long as it's effective at its job and doesn't actually try to do me
    • I am disappointed and stumped as to how I am going to actually do this, but it won't be with this tape.
    • not as strong as i'd like it to be and does not work well on wallpaper
    • I've had no issues, it works as you'd expect
