While it sounds like there are more negatives to this game then positives, it is still a very enjoyable game, although it can be frustrating as well to have treasure on your ship only to be sunk and have the last hour or so of your time completely wasted.

The day one server issues lasted only a few hours, and if you are looking for a pirate game this is the perfect experience

The developers are trickling in content as time goes on, but even the content added in these occasional updates only lasts a few hours before you've exhausted everything new

If you choose to play with a smaller crew, be prepared to spend hours collecting treasure from voyages only to potentially lose it in a fight at sea or by the outpost
