Seagate 2TB FireCuda Gaming SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Hard Drive (ST2000DX002)

    • It delivers very high-level performance at a great price where it excels, but where it doesn't, a solid state or hard disk drive is the better option.
    • Fastest conventional hard disk I have used or seen.
    • Disc Wizard does not support dynamic disks.
    • My original boot drive (a regular hard disk drive) is now a mirrored backup
    • Because I already have a SSD drive and regular hard disk on my computer, I am using it to store games, movies and music
    • Setup was no problem and Disk Utility recognized the drive as soon as the computer started up
    • Seagate's solid state hybrid drive (SSHD) design in which the most frequently accessed files are moved from the mechanical hard disk portion to the solid state portion for faster speeds are simply remarkable
    • Glad I replaced my other hard disk which I'm using for storage.
    • I've used this and have Seagate's last-generation 4TB 5900rpm SSHD in my own personal PC build, and they're both an incredible value, but the FireCuda takes the design a step forward with a 7200rpm hard disk (the highest consumer-level rotation-per-minute rate available) - boosted by the NAND
    • Disc Wizard does not support dynamic disks.
    • The majority of PC builders use an SSD to install their operating system & programs on and a secondary hard disk drive (HDD) for files & media, and while this is the ideal way to go (as you'll always get SSD speeds while the SSHD's solid state cache frequently moves data to and from the hard disk), if you're on a tight budget and can only build a single-drive system, the FireCuda is the ticket with the 2TB model costing as much as a 250GB SSD (a remarkable value at five cents per gigabyte and $50 per terabyte) and performing similarly at booting up your OS, running software, and playing videogames
    • The firecuda runs fairly quiet compared to other hard disks I've used
    • Fastest conventional hard disk I have used or seen.
    • It's performance is almost at the level of a solid state drive, but it has the capacity of a large hard disk drive.
    • Runs at a relatively cool temperature for a hard disk, not much higher than room temperature.
    • Windows 10 started loading painfully slow and the hard disk was constantly running at 100%
    • At about the same time Windows 10 started spouting out hard disk warnings, The drive was dying
    • Very good Hard disk.
    • Great for JetBrains products like CLION and IDEA that typically thrash the disk on startup.
    • I had 3 hard drive failures throughout the past 10 years, and they were all because eventually the mechanical aspects caused the disk to spin slower and eventually fail
    • Very good Hard disk.
    • Even when playing games he doesn't often play, load times are still noticeably faster than on a standard hard disk drive.
    • This ideal for having a lot of memory with great performance at an affordable price :D
    • Not as fast as I hoped
    • but I didn't complain I
    • Best alternitive you can get to expensive SSD’s
