Seagate 2TB FireCuda Gaming SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Hard Drive (ST2000DX002)

    • From what I understand, solid state hard drives offer better performance than traditional hard drives
    • It goes in just fine, installs fine, and the performance is better than the old pure HDD, but after a while you wonder why your drive access is sometimes horribly slow
    • Super fast in comparison to My old HDD, definitely improves performance on the ps4 which at first, I was weary of buying for, just
    • Regardless, I tested performance against my SSD (which should, and did, kill it) and my previous speed king, the Barracuda
    • Now, you could certainly buy separate SSD and mechanical drives with better overall specs and performance, but for everyone but the most demanding users, this hybrid drive is all you’ll need
    • Great drive with fast performance and easy to install.
    • This hd is amazing, great performance and quiet will be buying another one
    • I was hoping to see a better performance boost than I did, but there is a noticeable one
    • Flawless performance at half the price of SSD
    • Pulling that same standard image took 10:00, a significant time reduction and not unexpected performance with a pure SSD.Finally, the Seagate Firecuda 1GB drive.
    • But then buy it again few weeks later and worked as a champ... pretty good performance on desktop gaming..
    • After 10 months of usage and sluggish system performance I have given up on this model as a win 10 boot drive
    • Fast, devoted this drive to a media server and the performance is fantastic
    • Bought this for my Ps4 with three Nyko power bank and wow incredible performance
    • Performance was impressive enough, only to die after nearly two months.
    • Overall, it's got great performance and makes a big difference in daily operations, plus it has great transfer rates.
    • Love this drive's performance as a boot drive & scratch file repository for video editing.
    • The FireCuda yields outstanding performance in this old host: BlackMagic Disk Speed Test reports 128 MB/sec read, 120 MB/sec write.
    • Very good performance on gaming.
    • Like I said, it greatly improved my computer’s overall performance
    • This SSD is a hybrid, combining a traditional drive with some SSD technology, so you get the faster performance of an SSD with the higher storage of a traditional HDD
    • Boot times were drastically improved, as well as overall performance.
    • Good performance so far
    • Boot times were drastically improved, as well as overall performance.
    • Excellent drive so far, great performance and lots of storage.
    • Performance was impressive enough, only to die after nearly two months.
    • But I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a bit better performance and capacity on a budget
    • Good performance, excellent reliability
    • The performance is great, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the test of time is still pending.
    • the hard drive and the performance just wasn't what it should have been
    • SATA Internal Hard Drive is quick, performances extremely solid, and has excellent transfer rates.
    • Had an older PC that we wanted to upgrade to improve performance, speed, etc
    • Pulling that same standard image took 10:00, a significant time reduction and not unexpected performance with a pure SSD.Finally, the Seagate Firecuda 1GB drive.
    • If this thing ever completes and I somewhow get amazing gaming performance out of it, I'll be glad to come back and edit my review.
    • The performance has been a significant improvement over the 1 TB Seagate Barracuda it replaced and it is a LOT cheaper than an SSD.
    • On top of all this I got a deal for just $10 more than a 1tb hdd and the performance is worth it at least for me
    • Feel free to pair it with a SSD if you want even better performance.***Update: The SSHD failed after less than 1 year into its 5 year warranty
    • It’s performance is crisp and very close to a full SSD
    • My computer’s overall performance has been greatly improved
    • This ideal for having a lot of memory with great performance at an affordable price :D
    • not exactly a SSD, but good performance for a HDD
    • Great value, awesome performance!
    • Great performance
    • Performance is excellent
    • Great performance and value.
    • Great performance!
    • Best size/performance drive for the money
    • Great performance using Adobe video/picture editing products
    • Performance is great!
    • Great performance with the capacity - what else could you ask for
    • I am sure it works like Seagate says, and it may be faster than a standard HD; however, i saw significant performance lags
    • Seems like performance is better across the board against comparable WD drives, and prices generally comparable or lower.
    • A standard 7200rpm hard drive reads and writes to the system directly (although it may have a small cache to improve performance).
    • I got this to get better gaming performance
    • However, the SSHD option gives you both solid performance AND higher storage capacities
    • Thousands of I/O Error according to DriveDX
    • Good as it described
    • Maybe now as fast as a true SSD but client needed speed and space.
    • Not as fast as a
    • Awesome, perfect price point , perfect capacity, easy setup, not as fast as an
    • For the ones that would run in Windows, it would start and then at some point start moving so slow as to never complete.
    • I thought I would have to ante up $500+ for a 2TB SSD, but I have no hiccups with this drive and everything is as smooth and fast as I would dream
    • Again, not as great as my SSD, and not quite as great as I was hoping
    • Not as fast as a
    • While the lack of faster load times for programs was somewhat disappointing, my tests may have been flawed and I expect the FireCuda would make a better C: system drive than a programs drive.
