Seagate 2TB FireCuda Gaming SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive) - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Hard Drive (ST2000DX002)

    • Great value sshd for the price
    • If you have the money to upgrade from a Barracuda this is the best value you can get for your gaming rig!
    • Great performance and value.
    • We'll see how it holds up in the long term, but it has a 5 year warranty and at barely over a hundred bucks for such a high-performing platter drive (with 8 GB NAND), it's a terrific value.
    • It's a great value compared to current SSD pricing.
    • Good value for sure.
    • Great value.
    • The majority of PC builders use an SSD to install their operating system & programs on and a secondary hard disk drive (HDD) for files & media, and while this is the ideal way to go (as you'll always get SSD speeds while the SSHD's solid state cache frequently moves data to and from the hard disk), if you're on a tight budget and can only build a single-drive system, the FireCuda is the ticket with the 2TB model costing as much as a 250GB SSD (a remarkable value at five cents per gigabyte and $50 per terabyte) and performing similarly at booting up your OS, running software, and playing videogames
    • Great value too.
    • I think this a good value, especially compared to a 1tb ssd.
    • Very good, very fast large cap and good value for the money.
    • I've used this and have Seagate's last-generation 4TB 5900rpm SSHD in my own personal PC build, and they're both an incredible value, but the FireCuda takes the design a step forward with a 7200rpm hard disk (the highest consumer-level rotation-per-minute rate available) - boosted by the NAND
    • Great value, awesome performance!
    • This was an excellent compromise; good value based on read/write speeds and total storage space.
    • Good as it described
    • Maybe now as fast as a true SSD but client needed speed and space.

    • For the ones that would run in Windows, it would start and then at some point start moving so slow as to never complete.
    • I thought I would have to ante up $500+ for a 2TB SSD, but I have no hiccups with this drive and everything is as smooth and fast as I would dream
    • Again, not as great as my SSD, and not quite as great as I was hoping
