The PS4's menu items suddenly became very laggy after a game crashed, and the issue was alleviated after switching back to the stock hard drive

If you pick up an enclosure for around $10 or so, you can turn your factory PS4 hard drive into an external drive and add an extra 500GB/1TB of storage on top of your new hard drive or you can use it with your PC.

I can see the Hard Drive listed in the Bios, but when I run diagnostic tests, it says there is no hard drive installed.

Having the previous hard drive die may sound bad, but actually it was a blessing in disguise.

It is a clear improvement over the original 500 GB hard drive that comes with the PS4 out of the box

It failed in less than 6 months of light usage, as I was using it as an external hard drive and it wasn't connect all the time to the computer.

All SATA cables come with a locking mechanism to prevent instability when transferring data, it's just common practice for hard drives to support that locking mechanism

I'm not sure why this hard drive stopped working, but I do know that it is about half as thin as the factory hard drive

I can't speak for any other applications but if you're looking for a replacement hard drive for your ps3, I can't recommend this one enough

This is a great hybrid drive particularly for labtops, consoles, or devices with limited space (i.e. 1 slot).

I had trouble cloning his existing drive but was finally able to complete the job using Marcrium Reflect.

This will work in your device if it supports such a drive

Hard drive died 8 days after return window closed.

Computer starts very slow and shuts down even slower, as you can see on the picture attached read speed is 8.2 and write speed is 397 kb and the drive is working at 100% capacity
