PS42tb seems to be ideal space for upgrade a first gen

Minor improvements to load time over stock but twice the space which is what I needed

so I prefer the 2TB space even at the expense of speed

Once it has the proper Xbox partitioning schema on it it'll grant you 1.6 TB usable space.

It has enough space to hold a lot of games, even with today standards of 150 gigs per game.
