I've worked with a lot of both hard drives and solid state drives in the past and most have been pretty good
-
While the drive is slower than a solid state drive, it's definitely faster than a regular HDD and it seemed to self-optimize, becoming faster over time
-
Internal Solid State Drive - CT525MX300SSD1
-
Though at full price if your latop can take two drives I'd rather get a standard 1Tb hardrive and a 120gb solid state drive.
-
Works great for a speedy windows 10 start up without spending the extra money on a solid state
-
It's a solid state hard drive
-
As quick as most solid state drives and now my laptop is no longer memory challenged.
-
I would suggest buying the Seagate mechanical drive or the solid state drive over the hybrid one
-
The MacBook has been upgraded in terms of RAM from the paltry 4GB Apple says it can handle to 16GB, battery (AETY), and now this SSHD (Solid State Hybrid Drive)
-
I don't see much benefit from the automatic solid state caching system, as the OS is on a smaller SSD, so I use it as a regular drive
-
They give you near the speed of a solid state drive with the price per gig of a 5400rpm standard Hard Drive.
-
But the main reason I got it is because of the Solid State cache, it is expected to speed up some games after several uses, I've seen the speed improve on the TV/Media apps that happen to take even minutes to load on the stock hard drive and now are way more responsive
-
I assume the solid state portion is what died
-
Hybrid drives are fairly new and have not been proven like solid state drives or mechanical drives.
-
It's a solid state hard drive
-
Any access time/speed increases from the solid state portion are lost on the rest of the drive being only 5400rpm.
-
I went ahead a bought a solid state drive to replace it
-
This thing starts off slow untill the computer decides what it needs to put into the solid state to make the computer so much faster
-
A nice compromise between solid state and a regular SATA drive
-
If you are a gamer, the loading speeds will not be that of an actual SSD, but after a few times loading up the same game, the solid state portion of the drive will use it's cache to load the game up almost as fast as an SSD would
-
Very much faster than my old non-solid state 1TB drive
-
This is NOT A SOLID STATE hard drive
-
The solid-state cache doesn't seem to alleviate any problems, not sure how it works technically
-
I purchased this hard drive from the recommendation of my IT guy who said it's a cheaper alternative to Solid State Hard Drives but more reliable than the spinny ones.
-
2.5 Solid State Hybrid Drive in #6 (note spikes in read speed squashed the visible curve).I can't recomend (or keep) this Firecuda drive.
-
2TB is more than enough for what I needed and it boots faster than a regular hard drive, but not as fast as a solid state drive.
-
Reason for getting this drive is that I could get this for less than a SSD, plus it's a SSHD (Solid-State Hybrid Drive) that has the performance between a regular drive and an SSD
-
The Solid state cache part is just too small to be useful as it doesn't have the capacity to hold a frequent use game on it
-
Here's the best part: the solid state caching cuts load times in half
-
This is the new, if not improved, version of Seagate's Solid State Hybrid Drive
-

-
The solid state cache really only helps boot time.
-
This is NOT A SOLID STATE hard drive
-
it will no work on 6gb/s (only 3gb/s) and will be detected as overheatedAlready reported to Seagate, until now not firmware upgrade...
-
I receive my new Seagate 2T hard drive today and low and be hold it came in a un-label brown box not very impressed on how they present there merchandise
-
t's a gimmick
-
Not as fast as
-
These are a fraction of the cost of an SSD, and work just as brilliantly
-
But as for faster than the stock hard drive?
-
Works as it should.
-
It works exactly as I expect a SSHD to work
