I bought this because I wanted to be able to grind up beans for my 12 cup coffee maker and to grind course for my french press but this grinder only grinds coffee up fine grind and does not do a great job of

However, it is not any louder than a blade grinder and does a better job.

and I will say, this grinder is doing a very good job.. a bit noisy, like a blender makes but other than that, I have no problem with it..

Initially liked this grinder - didn't like that the top cover has to almost be held in place because it may start coming off, and it didn't stay on much otherwise, but the grinder did it's job, and ground coffee.

Adjustable enough for different brewing methods, not louder than it needs to be, and does a good job keeping a nice, even ground.
