They CANNOT be dimmed from the old-style dimmers for incandescent bulbs - those dimmers reduce the power to the bulb, and these bulbs require full power for the Zigbee radio signal to function
-
Then all of a sudden, if I lose power to my switches (i.e., the power goes out), ALL of my Singled bulbs become unavailable and I have to go through a painful process of resetting and adding again to my network
-
As soon as I powered the lamp, the bulb showed up in my Smart Things app, and available to use with Alexa
-
I fixed this with the SmartLighting app inside SmartThings by setting the dimmer to 100% when powered on
-
Now we have to do the dame every time we lose power, and it can take days of trying before they reset
-
The wiring of the switch deprives the bulbs of consistent power and can cause them to, among other things, come on randomly
-
There is a minor delay when powered up
-
Then, out of nowhere, the hub just dies completely (no power, nothing) and the bulbs stopped responding to my Alexa a few days before the hub died
-
It also goes on automatically, if the power is interrupted, so if you use it in a socket with a usual light switch, it will come on when the switch does
-
Hub Worked great while it lasted, lasted 2 (TWO) months, now the hub has no power, so now my lights dont work
-
We lost power this weekend and now one of them can't be connected to the hub but the bulb still works with the light switch.
