Like many others, the wire has gone to hell in one of the ear pieces

The connections coming out of the cans are hard wired

Update - July 21, 2016 - the wire to the left headset just broke.

Finally, the wiring must have gotten frayed or something, as only one speaker would work depending on how you fiddled with the wires

Thin wires make me nervous.

Right earphone wire broke inside the headset and the sound would go in and out

You get what you pay for, the wire is to thin, leads to easy short in the wire, not stylish and sound quality not up to par, but that's b/c their cheap lol, Sennheiser is excellent company for headphones just buy good ones not cheap ones
