But, the music...lacks...emotion

The sound just lacks emotion for me.

He describes everything that is felt, in excruciatingly accurate detail - her eyes, her hair, the smell, the breeze blowing past, the birds in the trees, the feel of her lips - etc., yet, it...lacks...emotion.
