Only downside is it needs some power to have a good experience.
I used this on my galaxy s4 and i can get a good listening experience without cranking it up to its loudest.
Like I said if you need more accuracy for this price range check out the DT770's but for an overall better experience these for sure
I've owned some other Sennheiser headphones like the HD 595, and those have great sound, but it really demands running the headphone from a 1/4 inch jack, since your acoustic experience is not nearly so isolated, and there's a lot of bleed

Headphones are fine, God help you if you loose the adapter piece because replacing it will take you all day to figure out and you'll still be wrong
I hear things clearly in video games as well as in foot steps and certain audio cues

I Love these so much the bass is nice and deep but not to over powering if you keep it at the lower spectrum, and enough o fhb emits and highs come in to give it a true flat sound.
like I said I recommend a good amp, I personally use the Aune t1 dac/amp, but the one recommended by
I suppose that is the downside to having a 95 Ohm impedance, but hey i think anybody who is crazy enough to drop this much money on some headphones would also take into consideration that the right amp can definitely compliment their investment.
They're amazing on their own but they truly shine when hooked up to a nice amp/dac
That is until I used one of my portable amps, which is a Fiio E11, with my Ipod nano and

I love the clamping force and tight seal, the isolation is the best I've heard on DJ headphones.

The sound quality and noise isolation for passive headphones is excellent on these
The Crossfades sound great and the build is outstanding, but they lack the sound isolation and collapsible/adjust-ability of the hinges on the HD8's
Alsothe sound isolation is awesome; I work in a noisy environment with people having conversations continuously around me and with these pones playing I would say that about 80% of the background noise is eliminated.
They come with a durable carrying case that also holds the cords and the second set of the ear muffs.
It came with a nice case to protect this beauties, and also the size is perfect, not bulky at all
The set comes with a nice case but the case is a bit big
Pros: build quality, sound quality, nice carrying case, sounds amazing with a amp/DAC, strong base, nice design, sound-proofingCons: can give you headaches on account of tightness around the ears if you don't adjust the cups often, same deal with the band on the top of the headOther thoughts: all the base in these headphones is gone when wearing with glasses, I have to wear
On top of the additional set of ear pads, these headphones also come with a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter that screw onto the plug securely, and a very robust travel case with handle that holds one cable, the headphones, and the extra set of ear cushions
Great separation, great detail, amazingly deep and controlled bass
Now for the Vmoda M100's, If you like Beats By Dre then you will LOVE these, they have punchy bass like crazy punchy bass but does not sound muddy at all
I think the bass is great, but not as obnoxious as some of the Beats or Sony's I've tried
NO harsh distortion or pitches at loud volumes and the bass is perfect and clear not fake sounding
Great set of headphones, suites my ears, not too much pressure and sound is on the brighter side and bass has a bit more boom then others.
Earcups seem a bit flimsy, both pairs ripped on me over the course of a year or two of normal use
They feel like elite headphones in your hands, smooth beautiful detailing across the support, and comfortable, interchangable earcups
Both earcups isolate sound very well and simply snap onto the headphones
I hear things clearly in video games as well as in foot steps and certain audio cues
The pleather earcups breathe incredibly well due to being the material that they are.(Hang with me here, my brain travels a thousand mile a minute)Let's skip to packaging, 'cause that is the idea flow
Am no headphones expert but if find it has a really nice, clear sound
Both earcups isolate sound very well and simply snap onto the headphones
NO harsh distortion or pitches at loud volumes and the bass is perfect and clear not fake sounding
The Pioneer HDJ 1000 may have great sound, but it literally crumbled in less than a year of use and the foam on the headphone disintegrated which left black sticker like things on the sides of my face after Djing
Despite the poor sound in the beginning, these headphones are a prime example of the fact that new headphones need to be broken in.
The cloth ones lose a bit of noise isolation, so that is a trade-off you'll have to consider
Such great quality, other reviews have said they're a bit uncomfortable after a
They do tend to bleed a bit of noise sadly so you can't really crank them up
Earcups seem a bit flimsy, both pairs ripped on me over the course of a year or two of normal use
these were a bit uncomfortable, but thats because its made of metal, so you give up these babies being light weight for build quality which I will definitely trade for
