NO harsh distortion or pitches at loud volumes and the bass is perfect and clear not fake sounding

I think the bass is great, but not as obnoxious as some of the Beats or Sony's I've tried

and I can hear the strong bass in the HD8's

The bass and midrange are excellent.

Now for the Vmoda M100's, If you like Beats By Dre then you will LOVE these, they have punchy bass like crazy punchy bass but does not sound muddy at all

They definitely compliment the bass for sure but do so I would say in a correct

The bass is right there in your face, but never intruding on the more sensitive details in your tracks

Great set of headphones, suites my ears, not too much pressure and sound is on the brighter side and bass has a bit more boom then others.
