I experimented a little with the best settings for me and now I get a consistent grind that I like.

Admittedly, I have not tried the finer grind settings, but I use it for french press coffee and it gets the job done on the coarser settings

The grinder does a very good job at grinding and the settings are satisfactory

Much more even grinds and the adjustable settings offer plenty of customization for grinding for different brew types

because the other settings lean slightly fine I would assume it's likely on the coarse side of medium-coarse (as in, not ultra coarse), and would probably feel comfortable using it for French press, maybe homemade cold brew

, it's very messy (I've yet to make a cup of coffee without grinds getting all over the countertop) and the 14 settings don't really include a very coarse grind.
