I can toss one of these in a bag or in my car and not have to worry about it drying out due to a loose or lost cap

The retractable function is good, but I prefer a traditional cap one.

The company I work with has the regular "Sharpie Accent Highlighter" in the fat orignal version (cap and all), and there are too many times certain colors are much too dark to use to high light

The caps on most highlighters hurt my thumbs and I do transcription all day, with these there is no issue as I work my way down the patient list.
