I love that the highlighter is retractable, but I really dislike that writing on the outside smeared all over my fingers and hands- what a mess !

I have also purchased the Sharpie liquid highlighters which are also better than these (in my opinion), and offer the same array of colors as these retractable ones but are definitely more highlighter-like than marker-like and have a very smooth tip and glide.
