Really great paint pens

Beautiful colors, perfect paint flow after shaking quite well.

Makes detailed painting on model structures a lot easier

Paint not always uniform distribution and tough to initiate after sitting for awhile

The paint is good and they have held up well for what I need.

Like most of these porous-tip paint markers, the paint dries out and clogs the tip, and if it dries deep enough, no amount of mashing and wetting and pumping will get them to work properly again.

The 'activation' directions on the pen in order to make it dispense the paint correctly were unclear

It takes a lot of pumping to get product to finally prime, then it does not maintain a consistent paint level on the brush after it's been primed!

The particular craft I used them for was to create images on mugs and heat in an oven to "cure" the paint

I think everybody needs to purchase these awesome paint pens.

I thought because they are sharpie brand they would be better paint pens

Pretty easy for my toddlers to use, however, they did sometimes pool up paint which made the project a little messy and not as neat as it could've been.

Even after following the directions (gently shaking the pens and pointing the tip flat on the paper after doing so), the paint would have a hard time coming out, if it even came out

I've used paint pens and these leak suddenly and severely

Be sure to shake well and press down for a while after the first use to make sure the paint mixes well and the color comes out more accurately like the first use.

Takes 30 - 40 presses of the tip (pointing down) to get paint to just start to flow & the flow is inconsistent after that

I used these for glass and these were going on similar to the better paints we had

All in all, they work as advertised on paper, work ok on ceramics, but have the classic paint pen problem of letting loose too much on occasion, and the white seems least consistent in opacity.

I created many lovely painted rocks only to see them fade after a few days in the sun

If you want to make thin detailed lines these are by far the best paint marker to use, I haven't had any issues with dripping or blotting (from the point of the pen when the paint builds up in the tip) like I have had with the medium and large tipped markers

Paint is super consistent and hasn't dried out on me.

I had pictured a beautiful, rich white paint ink, similar to the appearance of White Out, I suppose, and instead what I got was some watery, translucent white that immediately faded to see-through

Works perfectly for small details and writing so I can use a durable paint and get the look I want on projects

You also might need to write a little slower than you are used to in order to get enough paint onto the surface otherwise your writing will be easy to see through...like the end of a long paint brush stroke

I purchased the sword at San Diego Comic Con this year and when I unwrapped it at home I discovered the packaging had worn out much of the golden color on the handle element, as well as patches of black where the silver paint on the blade peeled off
