As a student, I'm required to read hundreds and hundreds of pages of text per week, and thus find myself doing a good deal of highlighting

I have used a great deal of highlighters and the sharpie liquid is much more vibrant and smooth than the traditional pocket accent highlighters and similar.

My overall impression is that this is a good product with a few qualifiers that may or may not be problems for you.

Unless you have money to throw away, I don't recommend this product.

While it marks well enough, the liquid drains out quickly, about three times as fast as competitive reservoir markers

sharpie has great markers and these hold up to the sharpie standard

If you like a very bright marker and don't mind it running out really quickly, these might be ok for you

I love this highlighter and it is the only one that I like to use

But the highlighter will still smear the writing unless I wait a few minutes first

VERY liquid (which isn't to say that they're messy at all; but you're not scraping a reluctant yellow highlighter along a page).

But once you've used them, every other highlighter sucks in comparison, so here I am buying more

This highlighter is brighter than most other highlighters available

These are my favorite highlights as they remain bright until the last drop of ink (which you can see when it's getting low) and they make clean crisp lines when used to either highlight with the wide tip or underline with a thin line

Definitely the brightest, sharpest lines, and I love that I can see when I've run out of ink.

My only complaint is they could only be found in the finer line I would like to have ones that had a larger chisel tip.

Even if I use it for a long time, the line doesn't become dull.

Each of these highlighters made clear sharp lines, and did not bleed through the paper.

These are my second-favorite highlighters out there (the Zebras are hard to beat), but are far more reasonably priced

I can not remember another time in my life when i have had to buy new highlighters because they have run dry, I usually use the same pen until I lose it and need to buy a new one

I've been known to buy a ton of pens in search of the perfect feeling pen or highlighter

I love the liquid pens in general because I can see how much is left and as far as highlighters go I can leave the top off without worrying if the ink will dry out.

Compact, no larger than many pens, easy to see how much ink is left, good highlighting, doesn't seem to fade.

I dislike yellow highlighting

While the fact that these highlighters lean a little to the wet end of things means that you'll probably need to replace them sooner, I'd much rather have that than the alternative, of a highlighter which runs a little dry and ends up giving a streaky highlight

The one I found was fatter, with a softer tip that laid down smooth highlighting that did not bleed through

That was apparently before Sharpie acquired the company that used to make the accent, because the only option now is this skinny version with a fine point tip that bleeds through pages very easily

I miss the fat version of these highlighters as the pen style just doesn't have the same feel in the hand.
