I like the slightly larger grip as I can be bothered by carpal tunnel syndrome and this seems to be more easily held for speedy note taking or inspired writing.

I wish these pens were a little bit shorter, but the grip is great and the "click" mechanism is also very nice

The grip makes them even more comfortable and I have yet to have one break after several months of use.

That said, I like the thick grip; I also like the fact that you can write with much less pressure than with a ballpoint.

To fix it, I need to push the grip back toward the top of the pen, while twisting and wiggling it to get it to move

and I do prefer the fatter grip area as it is more comfortable for me to hold while writing.
