Just be aware when highlighting on smooth paper your gel pen will smudge

Sharpie claims no bleeding but there is always some, especially if the paper is a little shiny (like textbook paper), so be careful there

On softer or more porous paper I found it absorbs well into the paper and doesn't smear

Works as it was intended.
