Not really loud but good enough for close distance and decent bass for such a small speaker.

As I was thinking about writing a review, it came to mind that it isn't quite as clear as I would like and that the bass is a little weak

Bass isn't good at all.

The bass is great, the sound is clear, and it works well in the shower without muffling the sound.
