If you get this speaker, then the only reliable connection will be through the aux cable...which negates the water resistance of the speaker

Water resistance is up to par.

I have doubts about it's water resistance but time will tell.

Considering the positives I was very sad to find that after just four months of usage I began to experience a scratching sound coming from the speaker
