The M44-7 is a great for the DJ

After hearing the Shure M44-7 and the Shure MX97xe on the same equipment, I can only say that I would recommend the Shure M44-7 first and foremost

These M44-7 sound pretty good but not as good as the old tired Stanton

Shure M44G to scratch

Whilst I'm "Shure" all you Dj's & Turntablist's will recall the great old days, I have to admit I'd almost forgotten just how great the M44's were.

The legendary Shure M44-

Being new to the turntables and short on funds I had decided to purchazse a Shure SC35C DJ Turntable Cartridge as well as a Shure M44-7 Cartridge

Otherwise, the M44-7 is robust and reliable, has a strong signal, low noise, and a small bass bump in the frequency response that makes you tap your feet.

You use the best tool for the intended job, & the M44-7's are great for that.
