The clip does break over a period of several months, but Shure does offer clips for around 60 cents each

I had the clear Shure SE215 wired version for 6 years and these are tanks

Great Shure sound quality, great features

But it is not as good as an obsolete Shure 210 with an obsolete Apple iPod Shuffle.

I'll keep my review at 3 stars for now as Shure has a good service reputation and i expect they'll take care of me.
