Because of their light weight (supposed bonus), the pads on the headphones slide down causing the top ridge to dig into my head

Softness-wise, the 440 pads could be likened to three-day-old bread; the 840 pads are like a fresh loaf of bread

However, it would be difficult to wear these for very extending mixing sessions because the head strap needs better padding
