Having bought and sold MANY lenses in my years photographing, the Sigma 50/1.4 Art is one of the best values for the money that I have come across to date

I've been using this lens for a couple of days now, and from a technical/objective standpoint, it's an optically fantastic lens and a great value compared to its direct competition.

It can be found on sale at a sub $800 price point if you have the patience to wait for that occasion, and at that price it is an even better value--although I would pay $1K for this lens all day and not feel bad about it.

Chances are you'll find that some of your lenses aren't performing quite as well as they could. :

Just keep in mind that F1.4 on a full frame body will have significant out of focus blur, so the picture may not have come out as sharp as you'd like due to this reason
