I use a Nikon D800 and the images are just beautiful

My broken cheapo canon missed 3 images

I shoot on a speedbooster and have noticed that images do come out a bit warmer, your results may vary.

Every clear image I have is beautiful and the bokeh is amazing

•The images are beautiful from this lens, significantly less distortion then most and the color is fantastic

But once, focus, the image is super sharp at the center.

But unlike every other 50mm f/1.4 SLR lens ever made, you don't HAVE to stop it down to achieve remarkable image quality

The images my 6D can produce with this lens have blown me away

Stop down to 5.6 or 8 and you get an extremely crisp and clear image from center to corners

My final ruling is that while the build leaves a bit to be desired, it makes up for it and then some in excellent image quality

The last photo shows the weakness of this lens...at f16 a good part the image is still blurry, because I was in too close, even though I was a good 2-3 feet away

No-where near as sharp as my images from my Nikon DX F/1.8 35mm... or my Tokina DX F/4 12-28mm...

Overall the image looks fantastic

It produces a very sharp and crisp image

But this lens is worth it....fantastic image quality for the price.

In fact, the 14mm lens made me realize how much better an image that prime lenses can create - increased contrast, sharper focus and (to my eye) more saturated color

& it's heavy (1.8 pounds) if you aren't used to shooting with the canon L70-200mm 2.8 lens (2.8-3 pounds)All in all, i'm very happy with this lens for it's versatile, well constructed, and produces great images which is all you could look for in a lens

The images that do come out sharp are very very nice and the bokeh is wonderful, however the calibration dock is a must if you want to have a usable lens

The focus falloff and color rendering is just that unique, and the Sigma excels at producing a clean image, not necessarily emulating its competitors

Sure, this probably would blow away the standard in an optical test but as far as real world use, the difference won't be enough to make or break an image or any image I can think of anyway

It's a masterpiece, both technically and subjectively from viewing the images it produces

On the flip side, I find my images aren't overly contrasty

If they make a 85mm Art, I will order it as soon as it's available as 50mm on a full frame camera is not great for portraits in my opinion where an 85mm on full frame is great for portraits.

Just keep in mind that F1.4 on a full frame body will have significant out of focus blur, so the picture may not have come out as sharp as you'd like due to this reason

I later tried the Nikon 50mm 1.4G and I was not happy with its performance, I then owned the Nikon 1.8G and although better than the 1.4, I never really fell in love with that one
