Silicon Power 128GB SSD 3D NAND A55 SLC Cache Performance Boost SATA III 2.5" 7mm (0.28") Internal Solid State Drive (SU128GBSS3A55S25AC)

    • This is a great fast drive
    • True, any drive can fail, but I've used dozens of SSD drives now in various computers, and this was the last I have purchased and the first to fail, and I see too many other negative reports of this brand here on Amazon and elsewhere
    • I chose this SSD because of the price and the fact that I have their 1TB Rugged Armor A30 Military Shockproof portable extrenal hard drive that I use quite a bit
    • Not the fastest ssd but far faster than the 5400rpm hard drive that came with my laptop
    • After 12 actual hours of use, the drive failed and I lost all files and my last intallable copy of Windows
    • I highly recommend this drive.
    • Excellent choice for fast SSD boot drive
    • I would buy another and recommend this drive to others.

    • Drive has run for a day-solid, no issues
    • Good product pc working better now then with regular hard drive
    • this drive is awesome it has sped up my boot times
    • I decided to look at replacing the hard drive with an SSD (solid state disk) and then upgrade the memory from 4GB to 8GB if the performance increase wasn't sufficient
    • The other is power consumption - it looks like this drive is using 2 more watts than the old one which translates to nearly half an hour of battery life.
    • Not as A boot drive/C. Invisible as a data drive on SATA or ATA with or without AHCI enabled in BIOS.I wish I could update the firmware at least because I have had a few BSOD using this sandforce controlled drive as boot drive in AMD 990fx board which had no problem running phison or marvell controllers
    • and I works better than the hard drive that came with the computer.
    • I would have to replace the boot drive and then this drive would start working again
    • Upgraded a dead drive in an older Dell and am pleased as punch with the results.
    • However, the drive lacks in presentation, and it loses a star because it isn't as fast as other solid state drives, it lacks complete and coherent documentation and user-friendly and functional management software, such as Samsung's Magician (which performs optimization, benchmarking, firmware updates, etc. in one program with no fuss).
    • Damn, these drives are fast, and incredibly affordable!!
    • I'm using Linux, which had no problems recognizing this drive.
    • Not DOACons: Not as fast as more expensive drives
    • It was a cheap drive and amazon was quick to refund my money, but I don't think I'll be buying Silicon Power again any time soon...
    • great drive no issues by motheboard recognizing it
    • Really, any SSD is probably a lot faster than any regular old hard drive so getting the most expensive top-notch wasn't my priority
    • I will NEVER buy another hard drive as long as I live
    • I bought a SP Sata III SOLID STATE DRIVE SLIM 555 from Amazon
    • It seems to perform just as well as my other SSD drives from Samsung and PKNY
    • Takeaway: If you know how to replace hard drives, this product is a cheaper solution to some of the more expensive name brands out there.
    • Excellent drive and very good value.
    • It serves its purpose but my old hard drive seemed just as fast.
    • Excellent drives

    • Used for boot and web search only everything else is on second hard drive
    • Great price to replace the hard drive in my MacBook Pro.
    • Great drives that offers the actual 1024GB that storage space translates to
    • These things look cheap as hell, which can be concerning when purchasing a hard drive
    • , I was a little worried but it performs fantastically and was as easy as any other drive to install
    • I've purchased a few 2.5" solid state drives, typically I go with Samsung EVO models

    • I'm glad I got this drive a lot better than the other hard drives

    • Spend the money and get a decent quality drive from a different brand, even if it’s a used or refurbished one
    • Using this SSD alone in Windows was better than the hard drive, but when I added the HDD for storage and moved the page file to it I noticed a dramatic speed improvement.
    • A very economical solid state drive, with great features
    • If you have an ASUS Vivobook, this hard drive is an amazing upgrade
    • This drive is not worth the risk.
    • I upgraded two ancient laptops and even though they weren't SATA III or even AHCI, they are now actually usable due to the excellent drive speeds compared to the old, 5,400-rpm spinning drives I replaced.
    • Works good, really sped up my laptop from the standard hard drive
    • At $.41 cents a GB, the price paid for the drive is simply ridiculous, cheaper than any comparable offer by at least $15, and is the prettiest drive I've bought (having had over 5 different SSD brands so far). Please keep the great
    • The drive was immediately recognized and worked as advertised.
    • As an IT professional, I highly recommend not purchasing this drive
    • I would recommend this product for any one looking to upgrade there hard drive.
    • Received the hard drive and it doesn't work, at all.
    • Great price for a great hard drive, you can definitely feel the difference from traditional HDD to SSD
    • Though the Samsung Pro is at a disadvantage due to the use over the past year and being filled near capacity, comparing test scores from my computer and reviews shows that the Silicon Power is on par with the top tier SSDs in the market - and was at a low price of only 50$.Recommended to anyone who needs an SSD for their laptop/desktop and guaranteed to boost your speed if upgrading from a mechanical hard drive
    • Great little hard drive, used to backup photos on w10 and Mac
    • UPDATE:5 Months later and this drive is still working with about 3,200 hours on it, and 16.5TiB of data written to it
    • Replaced a failing 128G platter hard drive on my old Dell Latitude D630 with this SSD running Linux.
    • Way faster than the spinning hard drive
    • No detectable speed increase over mechanical hard drive
    • Cloned old noisy old hard drive
    • Great drive would recommend to everyone who has accessible software.
    • It makes my old style hard drive look like a turtle
    • Good budget drive, though capacity leaves a little to be desired at this point.
    • Great little hard drive
    • Luckily, I have an old copy of some software that worked fine for cloning my old drive onto the new one.

    • Hard drives work but eventually

    • The drive is reachable because I can go to Disk Management and add or delete partitions and use it just as a data disk.
    • This drive is great for the money especially, very noticeable speed difference from my hybrid drive

    • Great drives, specs out a little faster than the standard (Kingston) and prices a little less than the standard.
    • This is an amazing SSD drive for the price

    • I had a laptop hard drive before this, maybe a 500GB 5400rpm HDD
    • Great SSD drive
    • candy.-The drive itself is actually very attractive with a black brushed metal finish, but it has an enormous sticker on it with yellow, red and blue that makes it look like a toy.
    • Even regular type hard drives do not have that much warranty, so it is really a NO-BRAINER to buy silicon power's hard drives
    • My overall impression is positive and I would recommend this drive to those looking for a low cost SSD, especially considering Prime shipping and no tax (your mileage may vary).
    • After a week this drive has been working great, and is VERY fast.

    • Normally my hard drive was ok for these tasks but lacked speed
    • This SSD is a solid drive for the money

    • You can not beat the price for the features and specs of this speedy little drive
    • but when I put this hard drive into the laptop it was not recognized by the Bios

    • Very nice drive!
    • At first, you might not notice it, as the drive and OS can tolerate small failures, but over time it will eventually die.
    • The drive is constructed very well, no cheap plastic materials, metal encasing which should transfer heat when a little bit of air movement is applied to keep the drive cool and lasting long.
    • Noiseless, fast and great drive in comparison with regular HDD.However, the benchmark tests show that my SSD (bought at Amazon for attractive price of
    • Still, if you're upgrading from a disk hard drive, the difference will still be

    • It replaced a failing 320GB platter drive.
    • It installed as easy as any drive I've ever used, and it is quick to boot
    • The drive fails to respond connected internally or with an external sata enclosure
    • Modern SSD drives can take a lot of punishment, so endurance shouldn't generally be a big issue for most users, but because time shifting HD programming with my HTPC DVR setup can potentially generate hundreds of gigs of writes a day, I could run into problems if the SSD endurance isn't up to spec
    • Ran performance numbers and this drive is awesome and was getting a little better than the stated numbers
    • I chose this SSD because of the price and the fact that I have their 1TB Rugged Armor A30 Military Shockproof portable extrenal hard drive that I use quite a bit

    • 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
    • Perfect hard drive.
    • The drive failed and became completely unresponsive.
    • , this is "just enough" but by no means you will see the 500MBs that slightly more expensive drive(5,10,15 bucks more) would do
    • Drive performs better than a mechanical hard drive under normal working conditions, very slow with complex fast small files, photos and music it is really slow to transfer, bigger files it does pretty good at

    • Seriously super happy with these, I was weary because of the cheaper price, but after 3 months I would definitely recommend this hard drive
    • Crucial, for example, only guarantee their drives for 72 terabytes

    • 4K QD32 reads are roughly 50% slower vs. other modern drives

    • Great drive
    • This drive replaced a couple of 250GB hard drives in a RAID array on a computer that hosts my weather station
    • I did not expect these drives to perform as well as they have
    • The drive is quick, it does what it is supposed to, and it certainly beats out a hard drive for nearly everything especially application loading, but my complaint is mainly with the sustained sequential writes
    • Again love these drives.
    • So, the bottom line is that if you are looking for something that is truly faster than a hard drive in every way, don't get this drive
    • Still working properly for nearly two years, I recommend these as inexpensive boot drives
    • Wow...this drive is absolutely silent!
    • Today, my desktop has a 1TB hard drive that is still working fine, but TBH, when a 1.5GHz dual core netbook is more responsive than a 2.6GHz quad core desktop, I'm thinking I'll be happy to sacrifice
    • Do NOT use the software that comes free with the SSD, it has a very low success rate and corrupted my MBR of my hard drive.
    • Awesome hard drive.

    • But the S70 somehow manages to outperform all other drives in the 4K QD32 write test.
    • Perfect hard drive.
    • really fast and love this drive
