After buying Silicon Power'sArmor A60 rugged external hard drive a few months ago, I couldn't have been more satisfied with the product

If you use both systems or share with friends, you need to format it exFAT in your Mac to make it compatible with both systems and larger files (reportedly, will cause some compatibility problems with old versions of OS X and Windows).Other than that, I like this USB drive and is working just fine.

I purchased three of these amazing flash drive and I must admit, its the best flash drive I have every purchased, love the design and everything about it

Only issue is the contacts dont really have any protection, so a keychain usb drive this really isnt.

Many of them that I tried has issues properly reading the drive and one actually formatted it but botched the formatting

The design is great the all aluminium casing acts as a heat sink to dissapate heat away and protect the memory chip itself, I've had the problem of excess heat destroying a plastic-enclosed USB Drive before, this would not be the case here

Nothing is more dismal than wanting to play your video clip from a missing flash drive.

Initially, when trying to add new files, it would give the error message that the drive was write-protected; however, if I took it out and re-inserted it worked fine.

I also have similar, smaller USB keys that are Linux based OS to clear "issues" on hard drives

If you simply remove the flash drive without graceful ejection, you will strongly risk damaging the flash drive so that it is no longer usable, causing you to lose access to the files on the drive

The metal around the portion of the flash drive that plugs into the USB port feels more solid than the LaCie CooKey, and there's no moving parts as with the retractable flash drives.

When I tried to do a quick format to NTFS the Windows formatter crapped out 60% through and stated that the drive was corrupted and could not be formatted

Works well, enclosure is really nice (don't have to worry about it breaking off your keychain and losing your drive), but it takes about 15-20 seconds to mount on several different computers (Windows 7 and OS X), whereas other similar drives take about 3-5 seconds.
