There is a nice lip around the rear camera so that the lens never rests on a table when placed back side down and there is also a lip around the front of the case so that screen does not touch the table

In some ways, I like it better--the "lip" is taller and wider, which I think protects the screen better than a screen protector

Extended lip would seem to better protect the screen.

Case is sturdy, the front lip gives the screen a bit more protection when face down
