These put out a really heavy manufacturing/chemical smell and it absolutely is a noxious odor

They smell pretty bad, but we have them mount out of the way where the odor isn't a problem

These cable are awful in multiple ways, not just odor

Like some other reviewers have noted they do have a bit of a bandaid oder but only if you place them right up to your nose, I have not noticed any offensive odor in my room after installation and am quite happy with the quality.
