right out of the box I guess the mic 1 port wasnt working, but my daughter said she was fine with just using the second mic

Well by reading so many review about how the adapter port breaks and basically falls inside the machine rendering it useless, i decided that would be one reason i would not want that model

My 8 year old daughter loves this, however the microphone port had a short in it so the mic wouldn't work most of the time.

The port where the power cord plugged in was extremely cheap and flimsy such that even before it broke entirely the port was loose and you had to wiggle it to activate power

Mic port didn't work

The parts they've used are apparently very poor quality, as the port in the back of the machine that the power plugs into popped into the machine and rendered it unusable
