SIRIUS Stiletto SL100 Portable Satellite Radio Receiver

    • The device works flawlessly
    • I love this device!
    • I also have an Xbox and a PC that have no trouble connecting -- and staying connected -- to the network, but the Stiletto frequently can't connect even when I'm touching its antenna to the router's antenna!I out and out refuse to install any software just for the privilege of transferring files between my PC and my USB portable device (Windows Explorer does just fine), and Sirius insisted I could do this with the Stiletto
    • so I cannot comment on how well that device works
    • I also have an S50, and it is without question the superior device (at a much more reasonable price)
    • All in all I think it really is a pretty cool device Sirius has come out
    • I really recommend this device, but stay tuned for more in-depth reviews of the Stiletto when it finally ships.
    • Finally the device would not work outdoors even in a wide open field on a clear day (strike 3).I finally returned the device and I will be sticking to Sirius over the Internet from now on
    • But the signal strength is somewhat lacking and really only works well when the device is stable and not moving with the top pointed up.
    • OK, now that that's out of the way, on to my little review of this wonderful "little" device
    • The same Internet connection plays 128kbit audio and higher video streams all day long on the computer, so it's clearly a Sirius service problem or the device is crap
    • It device is great
    • I was thrilled when I heard that Sirius was coming out with a portable device where you could listen to Sirius live.
    • Initially, I hooked this device up with a Soloist universal dock, and was almost immediately rewarded with full, rich sound that is pretty good for the soloist, but that's for another review
    • Just get the cheapest device you can find and be sure to get an external antenna
    • Reception - as a portable device, not bad
    • I then have a great portable device that does need reception.
    • I have owned this device for a while and love it so far
    • Reception - as a portable device, not bad
    • If you plan on using this as a portable device plan on taking the antenna pair where ever you go, because you won't get any signal without them.4
    • THIS IS NOT A PORTABLE DEVICE FOR NEW YORKERS
    • I have read a number of negative reviews, and all I can say is that for my purposes this unit is perfect, far better than an I Pod and easy to use at home or in a vehicle.
