The only complaint I have is that I wish it had some kind of soothing music and/or lights

The lamb's music is very very slow and tinny sounding.

The one thing I didn't like about this mat is the lamb - the music it plays is not pleasant to listen to - very low quality, high pitch nursery songs that play at half the speed you would normally want to sing them.

His previous play gym had an ugly monkey that played 15 minutes of annoying music but he loved it and quickly learned that if he pulled on the monkey the music would play

One of the toys lights up and the other plays music, luckily not too obnoxious

but I love that it's soft and simple and doesn't play that awful loud music that I remember from my son's kick piano mat.

Highly recommended this playmat I all around love it
