The tab is nice, because if you don't want to use it you can just leave it tucked in

No fussy plastic tabs to lose.

On the downside, which is inevitable for this product - the tabs, unless you use an erasable writing utensil, cannot be changed when you change the designation of the folder

I ordered a different brand and you are supposed to add another folder inside to see the tab...what a joke:)

the card-stock folds over the metal rod [to seal the card-stock over the rod and onto lower card-stock, i.e., `FasTab'] in three 1/3-cut `sections' - and one of the fold-overs is even upraised about a half-inch above the rod to serve as a file-folder `header tab': hence, you do not need any of those plastic tabs with the paper inserts to identify the file contents -- the STRONG paper tab is already there for you to write on it.

These file folders are strong and have well-designed tabs for labeling/writing at the top

Permanent tabs are great and the fact that they glued around the rods makes it durable.

The permanent tab won't break or come off.

They have a nice big tab which can display the Brother printed labels I use for all of my files.

They are sturdy tabs and reasonably priced.

This is a review for Smead Hanging FasTab Folders, Letter size, 1/3 Cut Tab, Moss colored, 20-pack (64082).With the large sized tabs as part of the folders, it's easy to label the folders by writing directly on them or using printed labels

Quality is good; the ready tab IS nicer than those annoying little plastic tabs and tiny card board inserts.

These folders are great -no plastic tabs to fool with, the built-in tab takes care of that.

In the box the 3 sections are evenly divided between left, middle, and right paper tabs.

Not having to label small strips of paper and then deal with those stupid plastic tabs that never want to go into the slot you want them in is almost like heaven!!
