    SMSL SA50 50Wx2 TDA7492 Class D Amplifier + Power Adapter (Black)

    • Dead silent and a slow power
    • The power is enough for a small set of bookshelf speakers at moderate volume, nothing loud or speakers which need more power.
    • This puts out almost 5 times the clean power the Lepai does at 4 ohms, so that's that.
    • I used it to power two small desktop speakers, however, the amp only worked when holding the power cord in a specific direction
    • This amp also does not deliver 50W of power, if you look into the datasheet of the chip used, with a 24V power supply (like the one included) it will only deliver about 30W of power
    • For anyone looking for clean cheap power in a stupid small package buy this, just don't laugh when you realize the power brick is heavier than the amp itself :D
    • The glowing blue power light that surrounds the volume knob is a well designed visual accent
    • Plenty power drive a polk audio subwoofer/bookshelf combo to clear ear-splitting levels
    • So I felt confident that the SA50 put out enough power for my little 141s
    • I am not sure if it has enough power if you were to try to use this tiny amp to run big speakers in a big room
    • Inefficient, using a lot more power just turned on and idling than the SMSL does at full output.
    • Honestly it has enough power that I barely have to turn it up at all to achieve a solid amount of volume
    • I am sending a strong source signal to the amp that's able to push a 4 ohm load with appropriate power levels through a decent speaker wire with good banana plugs into 2 Micca MB42 C speakers
    • It really has too much gain for an amp of it's power
    • It has more than enough power to handle my computer audio system
    • is at 8 o'clock, uncomfortably loud occurs at around 10 or 11 o'clock, and the 100% power label looks to be at about the 5 o'clock position (not that I've tried going anywhere near that loud).I also added an inexpensive Monoprice powered subwoofer to the mix and added a USB DAC as an alternative to just running a cable from the laptop's headphone jack to the SA50
    • Defective power cord, had to send it back
    • That means for a given amount of output power, the switching amp can be smaller and lose less power to heat than, say, a typical A/B biased amplifier
    • I also have a graphic EQ, so all I wanted was a dumb power amp
    • For anyone looking for clean cheap power in a stupid small package buy this, just don't laugh when you realize the power brick is heavier than the amp itself :D
    • The amp itself feels well-built and powers in-ceiling speakers with headroom to spare
    • BUT, the sound is excellent, pure, adequate power, and for the price, a bargain
    • Solid choice for some cheap raw power.
    • It has a large volume dial in front as well as a power switch
    • With that said my only complaint is the power, but I have it hooked up in a large open living room (living room, dining room, and
    • Tons of clean power.
    • Amp works great powering a pair of Polk Audio RC65i in-wall speakers in a master bathroom.
    • Dead silent and a slow power
    • Power isn't an issue either
    • This is disappointing because when I first got this amp it sounded GREAT - almost as good as my 30 year old MC2505 power amp in my main listening room
    • Its soundstage is actually decent and it produces more than enough power to easily drive loudspeakers of 85db@1 watt or higher.
    • Yes, theoretically it can do 50W with the right power supply, but in reality, run it more than a few watts & the distortion will make the music unrecognizable & rip apart your speakers
    • This unit delivers enough power to push the 25w needed for each shaker
    • I am powering a pair of Micca MB42X bookshelf speakers and it works great.
    • Perfect size, outstanding power output.
    • and it has more than enough power
    • Good sound, low power, terrific.
    • Excellent product that puts out clean power
    • Plenty of clean power in even this large room
    • While it does have decent power for a mini amp, I did not find it as loud as others described.
    • The LED power indicator behind the volume knob is quite nice as well to see the volume level in a dark room.
    • The power adapter cords were oddly difficult to plug into each other
    • I have this powering my outside patio speakers and it works great
    • Providing sufficient power to my Klipsch speakers
    • It is well built and does an awesome job powering of Fluance SX6 bookshelf speakers
    • This is still more than enough power for most people
    • And it has enough power although I use it only 25% of the volume most of the time, enough for a first floor in a single family house.
    • People often worry if the amplifier puts out enough power, and manufactures don't exactly help clear this up
    • It does have significantly less power than the SMSL, so if you're looking to fill a large room or use it with inefficient speakers, then don't bother with the Topping or the Lepai
    • With a decent power supply (not the one it comes with), it's perfectly fine
    • Power jack plug is not strength fully maintened, lack of power led indicator, otherwise nice product.
