No distortion on my cheap or expensive headphones
-
All my headphones are pretty easy to drive and it will push them all well past painful
-
This is a great headphone amp
-
5 stars for best DAC in the price range, and it includes a good headphone amp.
-
The right headphone stopped working and sound on the left ear became an ear piercing static sound
-
I have tried many headphones/adapters still hiss and static.
-
The best, cheap headphone amp you can get built into a DAC
-
Great small headphone amp, and is very clear and crisp
-
So, if you are like me and just need a decent headphone amp with optical input then buy this
-
Got this to pair with my first pair of better quality headphones (AKG 7XX from Massdrop) and it works fantastically
-
And it has plenty of signal to drive these high efficiency headphones louder than I would ever need
-
This is my first DAC/AMP, so I don't have a good point of reference, but I've used my headphones with a couple friends' DACs and mine sounds just as good
-
The best, cheap headphone amp you can get built into a DAC
-
Good headphone ampCONS-No USB Input for those that need it for source and power
-
There does seem to be some slight channel imbalance at low volume levels which can be an issue for very efficient headphones.
-
I tried Bluetooth headphones but didn’t like recharging often
-
I use the product with Toslink (optical) input, fed by my computer's optical out; it drives a pair of NVX Audio XPT100 headphones (64 Ohms). At lower volume, the two headphone channels are not equally loud; this quickly disappears as normal (less loud than most would use, I think) listening level is reached, but if I turn it down for more quiet listening, the difference is very noticeable
-
While not the best headphone amp on the market, this product is exceptional for the price
-
Unless you have some pretty efficient headphones these aren't going to power them fully
-
I absolutely love the headphones, and I've heard many times that adding a quality headphone amp and DAC will make the headphones shine
-
I finally decided to move to headphones only, but I was still dependent on the headphone jack in my speakers for volume control and amplification, which lead me to look for a dedicated headphone DAC/amp
-
There are obviously better sounding DACs and more powerful headphone amps out there.
-
so I don't risk blowing out my headphones
