    • Great, clean sound.
    • Works, sounds good, build quality seems fine
    • Excellent clear crisp sound
    • Works and sounds perfect
    • Two Month Update: Changing from 5 stars to 1 star. started to get loud crackling and hissing sounds that were at first
    • This is my first DAC/AMP, so I don't have a good point of reference, but I've used my headphones with a couple friends' DACs and mine sounds just as good
    • Great sound
    • the sound is truly incredible. if you're using a high end CD player costing $500 you probably wouldn't hear much of a difference...but this little DAC unit paired with an inexpensive DVD player or CD player will make the music come alive, the build quality is beautiful it has a very high end look to it...if someone told me it cost two or three hundred dollars I would believe it.
    • optical ..speaker output good sound.
    • Feels solid, good sound.
    • The sound is crystal clear and haven't found anything wrong yet
    • After about a year of ownership it developed a rattling sound when turned off.
    • I still give it a good review since the sound that I got over the clicks was very good and that I liked the general build quality, including the feel of the controls
    • I use these while working, so my expectations for awesome sound from a computer and inexpensive reproduction electronics are relatively low.
    • The right headphone stopped working and sound on the left ear became an ear piercing static sound
    • Worked for a couple hours at most before breaking, now all I get is a clicking sound.
    • Definitely produces good sound.
    • The sound is amazing and I've only got it barely turned up for great sound.
    • Crisp sound, powers my Sennheiser HD598 perfectly
    • you wont believe the sound this "bad boy" has a superb "DAC" topped by Smsl sd-793ii uses the classic dir9001+pcm1793+opa2134 classic match, can reach a good/excellent sound believe me this little in-expensive box
    • The sound is excellent from both CDs and Flac/Mp3/Ape files.
    • It blows my onboard motherboard sound out of the water
    • but once I did, the sound was amazing
    • It preforms very well, very clean sounding (no noise even at high volume) and great for games or music to give more clarity to the audio experience
    • If your mobo has an optical out, I would highly recommend getting this over a dedicated sound card like the SBZ or the Asus Xonar any time!
    • Muddy sound after 2 months of use
    • The THD is excellent; it's one of the cleanest sound feeds I've heard from a unit this cheap.
    • I've been using this dac/amp combo for about a month now and it does a pretty great job of producing clear and loud sound through my Philips Fidelio X2's
    • full, strong bass and the midrange sounds nice and robust
    • I found that I could listen to a concert blue ray disk at full volume at night without disturbing anyone and with a much superior sound by using a 15ft optical cable (toslink) to connect to my blueray player
    • The sound is incredible
    • Very good build quality and amazing sound using it with my Bluesound Vault and its optical output.
