The Hz function works great on guitar and upright bass, and it is still a fine little clip-on tuner even without the Hz fine-tuning capability.

The only downside is that tuning the low E string to anything lower than D on a guitar causes the tuner to get a little confused

I tune by ear and then use the tuner to "fine tune" if needed.

Squeeze the clamp to open it and clamp it on the headstock, press the front button, strike a string and tune to the readout as with any other tuner.

Very easy to attach and use and just makes tuning my 1964 Gibson Dove a breeze.
