The others work great, I'm just left wondering if that cable is a dud.

One cable works great, the other will only fit into my phone in one direction (the whole point of usb c is that you can pit it in in any direction.).

They are very durable, I have had mine for over a year and they are still working great, and the leather cable tie that comes with them is super useful when traveling
