    Sonic Colors - Nintendo Wii

    • Overall: I picked up this game after reading IGN review describing it as "The best new generation Sonic game"
    • Poor Sonic
    • Like the "spike" one, it basically gives Sonic his "spin-dash" ability that he's had sense Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and that game dates back to the early 90's
    • This is a really solid modern sonic game it features fun and inventive level design, killer music and really bright beautiful colors (pun definitely intended?)
    • But, my only complaint is that sonic is a little hard to control at times but other than that, this game is one of the best on the wii
    • You can also collect the 180 red rings in the game and play the Sonic Simulator and if you collect all the Chaos Emeralds, for the first time in a long time you can play as Super Sonic in normal stages except for bosses
    • Recently I went hunting around for a fresh sonic fix
    • I have to say that both of these people did a great job portraying Sonic and Tails
    • If Sonic Unleashed provided a blueprint-like glimpse at how great Modern Sonic could be, and Sonic Generations was the truly finalized entry delivering on that promise, then Sonic Colors is in the middle, acting as the first prototype to employ the concept well
    • Sonic's 15th anniversary game got universally panned by the gaming press and is today recognized as the worst entry of the series
    • Sonic still moves fast, and this time it's actually fun to control
    • Sonic is constantly making terrible "jokes" and almost every cutscene is cringe-worthy
    • Brings back memories from classic sonic gameplay such as underwater exploration, fish robots, bees, spin attack, catchy music, 2d puzzles and best of yet, SUPER SONIC!!!
    • If you like Sonic, you'll most likely enjoy this.
    • Thinking this is just another one of Eggmans evil schemes Sonic, along with Tails, travel up to the amusement park to find out what is really going on
    • I mention that you can play Super Sonic in the main levels
    • Sonic just doesn't work well in 3-D.
    • Sonic Unleashed (2008) 360, PS3-Running on Sonic Team's `Hedgehog engine' not only did this game look beautiful, but Sonic's controls actually felt pretty good
    • What that means in retrospect is that when you play this game, you're getting an experience much better overall than Unleashed's half-n-half dual quality, but not quite as refined and perfected as Sonic Generations' iteration of Modern Sonic
    • But some of it is so bad it's good, and I laughed out loud several times.example: (after a boss battle)Sonic: Hey Tails, you missed the BBBE!Tails
    • but i expect more from sonic then top speed it should have been like sonic heros or sonic 2006.
    • Sonic Colours is FUN!, controls well, features stunning worlds that capture ones imagination, no camera problems, beautiful graphics, awesome music throughout, expansive platforming areas, switches seamlessly from 3D to 2D sections, Sonic is the only playable character, no RPG levels, no annoying side missions, fun boss battles with a gradual learning curve, amazing final boss fight, a new set of power-ups which allow Sonic to change form and access different parts of the level, multiple routes, great replay value, awesomely designed menus and the voice acting / cut scenes are not even annoying
    • This is the best 3-D Sonic game.
    • Classic Sonic is wayyyy better
    • Sonic and Tails are suspicious of his motives, so they decide to sneak in and find out what the egg-head is up to
    • First of all, this game proves that Sonic the Hedgehog games still can appeal to a wide audience of gamers
    • It's not the greatest Sonic, but its a high-ranking title in the series
    • My take on sonic colors (the best 3-D sonic game out there at least for now)Graphics- one of the few games (from a third party developer that is) that actually looks good on the Wii
    • My kids love the wii and Sonic so the price was right to get this for them to have fun.
    • Mario's transition to 3D has been great while Sonic's has been pretty poor to marginal.
    • In conclusion Aside from Sonic Sounding like a 30 year old surfer jerk controls that take a while to get used to and short levels with limited moves this game is Pretty good but not
    • However, as many of us know, sonic has made a significant decline in the quality of their games
    • Second, how is it fresh new Sonic?
    • The game is "Sonic COLORS" on the Nintendo Wii; it is (to me) the best 3-D Sonic game I've ever played since "Shadow The Hedgehog" on the Gamecube
    • The camera follows you very well, but sometimes in the 2D sections, the camera will be zoomed out so that Sonic will be hard to see
    • Now music in this game has got to be one of my favorite Sonic soundtracks ever
    • The only way I could fault this game is to say that Sonic's jump feels a little floaty, but that's just Modern Sonic and he has felt like this since the re-design in 1998
    • I love Sonic's
    • I commend Sonic Team's efforts, this Sonic isn't as slow as the others, and I give it only my full reccomendation!
    • Sonic still is cocky but not to a point where he is being a jerk or annoying and Tails actually sounds like a boy
    • It Might have sounded cool on paper but in game the sense of freedom Sonic games of the past evoked was lost as you were constantly tied to two other characters
    • This is what we were all begging for from Sega: A good modern Sonic game that has very appealing gameplay
    • The music is absolutely fantastic, the best Sonic has seen in years
    • At long last it would seem they had nailed Modern Sonic's gameplay
    • Sonic is so fast
    • The frustrations are few and far between, though, and Sonic's controls are improved tenfold from previous games
    • I'm so glad that Super Sonic
    • Welcome back Sonic
    • Not as great as some of the other straightforward sonic games
    • If you remember when Sonic was actually a great to play back in the day than you like Sonic Colors.
    • My only real gripe with sonic colors is that like MOST of modern Sonic outings it can at times feel more like an on rails theme-park ride and less like a 3d platformer that wants to challenge the player for more than 3 seconds
    • But the way it's portrayed is like that of a classic Sonic game
    • 2- wisps powers are welcomed, they dont feel forcedspoiler you have been warned -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------super sonic playable in levels.con and a
    • Also, while the gameplay and control mechanics are quite good, you can tell that Sonic Team was still trying to get the hang of how Modern Sonic should control
    • its not as good as the first SOnic that they made.
    • Sonic's conception was inspired by the little Plumber who revolutionized platforming forever.
    • Having only sonic to play with, seven levels for each world consisting of either good fast or platforming action, exploration in each level for 5 red rings and top the icing of the cake is (SPOILER) having super sonic playable in normal levels
    • Sonic Colors keeps what made the classic 2D Sonic games so fun, and then adds only the parts that worked from the 3D sequels
    • The frustrations are few and far between, though, and Sonic's controls are improved tenfold from previous games
    • Finally, a decent Sonic game with none of his friends joining him
    • Great job Sonic Team
